OSF Saint Francis Medical Center subscribes to the
Patient Education Institute's
catalog of online tutorials and print handouts. First time access is provided by
ID and PW, then a cookie is placed on your machine for continued access. Authorized users may request an ID and PW by calling (309)
655-3405. On certain units, hospital inpatients view the tutorials with a tablet PC provided by
nursing staff. |

Use this resource to provide both
Adult PALS and Pediatric PALS. PALS is an acronym for the Patient Advisory
Leaflet System. Handouts may be customized. This resource is
especially valuable for providing handouts in a variety of languages, including
Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and many more.
Health-PALS - Patient Advisory Leaflets covering
over 900 condition cases and hospital procedures and tests available in English
and Spanish. Health-PALS also includes an additional 1700 topics that go beyond
the fact sheets and discuss more in-depth strategies for dealing with conditions
and procedures |

Well-Connected. Spanish handouts are included. Handouts range from
the very basic to the very comprehensive, and are customizable.
