NICHE - Nurturing and Improving Care to Health System Elders
Health care professionals in designated areas of OSF Saint Francis Medical Center receive special training in caring for older adults through the hospital's NICHE program. Modeled after a successful New York University training program, NICHE (Nurturing and Improving Care to Health System Elders) provides extensive classroom-based instruction and clinical support to prepare healthcare professionals to recognize and better respond to the implications of age-related changes when providing care to older adults.

Center for Health Institute on Aging

The OSF Center for Health Institute on Aging is an outpatient program established in Peoria in 1989 to help meet the complete health needs of frail seniors in Central Illinois, to offer memory disorder evaluation and management of dementia, and to provide education and training in Geriatric Medicine for University of Illinois College of Medicine resident physicians.
